Three people had to be extricated from a vehicle involved in a two-vehicle accident on Monday in Burrell Township.
The Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were dispatched at 6:14 PM by Indiana County 911 to the crash at the intersection of Old William Penn Highway and Club Lane. Black Lick fire officials confirmed that one of the vehicles was on its side and three people were trapped in the vehicle. Crews were able to secure the vehicle, then remove the windshield to gain access to the victims. All three were able to be removed at that point, and they were placed with Citizen’s Ambulance workers for treatment.
Old William Penn Highway was closed for the duration of the incident. No word yet on how the crash happened.
