So far it looks like people have been driving carefully as a snowstorm made its way through Indiana County last night.
Indiana County 911 reported only one accident that emergency crews were called out for. The Saltsburg Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched into Westmoreland County at 6:49 last night to a location on Route 22 for a vehicle accident. Few details are known at this time about that accident.
According to information from the weather station Pennsylvania American Water Company Two Lick Filter Plant, Indiana County saw 2.5 inches of snow fall, and that made many roads slippery or slow-going yesterday. While many primary roads may be treated or cleared by now, many secondary roads are still slick this morning, so please be careful when driving this morning. Drivers are also reminded to sweep all the snow off your vehicle before you start driving. If snow or ice comes off a vehicle and damages another vehicle or hurts someone, the driver of the vehicle that had the snow or ice come off it is criminally responsible.
