While Indiana County is not in a winter weather advisory right now, Indiana is expecting to see some significant snowfall over the next day or so.
The winter weather advisory is set to begin at 3:00 PM for neighboring Westmoreland County, but Indiana County is on the fringes of the snowstorm that’s set to come through the area. Accuweather says snow is expected to start this afternoon, with one to two inches of snow falling tonight and tomorrow morning. By the time all is said and done, and if the forecast unfolds as expected, the area will see 2-4 inches of snow.
Forecasters are advising people to be careful when driving or walking as surfaces could be slippery. The slick conditions are expected to affect this evening’s and tomorrow morning’s commutes.
