The Penns Manor School Board will hold its regular monthly committee meeting tonight and will also hold a special voting meeting.
The board will vote on hiring Jennifer Sleppy as the district’s new business manager. She would start upon her release from her current job as Financial Director for Blair County. The board will also vote on appointing Nicole Peterson as Board Secretary.
The committee meeting features a wide array of topics. Among the many items up for discussion are Penns Manor’s Act 1 tax resolution, a review of the district’s health and safety plan, an authorization to participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement, an evaluation of the fitness center’s equipment, the hiring of a varsity volleyball coach and a junior high football coach, the approval of the district’s special education plan, and of a memorandum of understanding with the Penns Manor Education Association, which will be discussed in executive session.
The meetings in the district board room are scheduled for 7 PM.
