GIRLS BASKETBALL
In a WPIAL Section 2-5A girls game last night, Hope Cook scored 13 points and Eve Fiala 12 as Indiana knocked off Mars, 47-29. Indiana raised its record to 5-2 and 2-0 in the section.
United withstood a 28-point third quarter by Bishop McCort and erased a five-point deficit entering the final period to defeat the Crushers, 70-67, last night. The Lions had led, 34-28 at the half. United had five players in double figures, led by Lauren Donelson with 19, including four three-pointers, and Delaney Perone scored 17. Jordyn Travis scored 11 and Aleah Bevard and Mollee Frye each had 10.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Northern Cambria overcame a one-point halftime deficit to beat Homer-Center, 45-39. The Colts had three players in double figures, led by Zach Taylor with 11. The Wildcats were led by Jonah Arone’s season-high 14.
High school basketball on the air tonight includes a radio/video game on WDAD, with the Indiana boys taking on Mars. HOCKEY
Indiana returned to the ice, but lost to Mars, 5-4 last night to fall to 1-10 on the season. Indiana’s goal-scorers were Phil Bell, Adam Ball, Ben Nettleton, and Korbin Wilson. Will Matusek scored the game-winning goal for Mars just before the five-minute mark of the third period.
