Indiana County’s Courts will reopen today after the New Year’s Holiday, and there are several sentencing hearings set for today.
Sentencing hearings are scheduled today for 22-year-old Summer Leigh Marana of Saltsburg, who faces theft and drug-related crimes in three different cases. The earliest case was in October of 2020, where she eventually pleaded guilty to charges of theft of services and use of drug paraphernalia. She also pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking from February of last year and possession of a controlled substance from last May. She is also facing charges of access device fraud and theft from a motor vehicle in a fourth case from last June. While a sentencing hearing was scheduled for today for that case, a criminal call hearing is set for later this week.
Plea hearings are also scheduled for today for Dewayne Hart, Jr. of Pittsburgh for charges of possession of contraband and of a controlled substance for an incident in December of 2019, Kenneth Ashley of Homer City who is facing two counts of DUI, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license for an incident in July of 2020, and Jesse Lee Faults of Clearfield, who faces four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident on June of 2020.
