State police report that someone has surrendered a firearm that was found in a store parking lot. Troopers say that the pistol was found Wednesday and reported to police at 2:43 PM in the parking lot at the Walmart on Oakland Avenue in White Township. The pistol, described as a Kimber Micro 9 Raptor, was entered into evidence at the State Police Barracks. Anyone with information on the gun can call state police at 724-357-1960.
Two men from Josephine were charged with harassment for an incident Wednesday morning in Burrell Township. State police say the incident was reported at 1:58 AM at a residence on Center Street. A 21-year-old man engaged in a fight with his 18-year-old brother. Both men injured each other and the two were arrested accordingly. Their names were not released.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened on Wednesday. Police say that the crash happened between 11:30 AM and 4:45 PM in the 400 block of Oak Street. Police say that a vehicle travelling East on Oak Street collided with a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle along the south side of the road. The parked vehicle had moderate damage, and the hit-and-run vehicle likely has damage to the front passenger’s side bumper and or front fender region.
