INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Police in Indiana Borough are investigating a case of counterfeiting at a store in Downtown Indiana. Officers say that the counterfeiting goes back to October 15th of this year at a business in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. Police said the victim, who was not named in the report, said that between 2 and 10 PM that day, someone paid for items using a counterfeit $20 bill. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 724-349-2121, and businesses are asked to be on the lookout for any counterfeit money used for purchases.
A Maryland woman is facing charges connected with an incident last Friday at the Sheetz in Indiana Borough. Borough Police say that at 11:43 PM on December 17th, they were called out for a disturbance at the store at the corner of 4th and Philadelphia Streets. 66-year-old Lyndia Oshieds was asked to leave by employees, but she became irate with the store security staff and started yelling obscenities and screaming. Oshieds was charged with disorderly conduct.
