As the year approaches its end, there are deadlines nearing as well, and one of them is especially important for older and disabled state residents. Pennsylvania’s deadline to apply for rent and property tax rebates is December 31st, just 11 days away.
The rebate program is for eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $35,000 per year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded.
You can apply for the property tax/rent rebate program online at mypath.pa.gov.
