On Tuesday, Clymer Borough Council approved the 2022 budget, which was the same as the budget approved for advertisement in November.
The budget does include a half-mil tax increase to bring the $582,120 budget into balance. Borough Manager Sonya Schrenkel said that the money would be used for the police department.
For the average taxpayer, it will mean a $25 increase in property taxes.
In other business, the borough announced that pickup of used Christmas Trees will start on December 27th. Trees must be un-decorated and placed at the curb for pickup.
