The Penns Manor School Board will meet tonight for its reorganization meeting and its regularly scheduled voting meeting.
Four board members are expected to submit their certificates of election tonight. Those are Tammy Dalton, Robert Packer, Richard Polenik and Lisa Smiley. The board will also elect a new board president and vice president, along with other board officers and make appointments for other boards, including ICTC, the PSBA Liaison, and the tax collection committee.
During the regular meeting that will follow, the board will take up the hiring of assistant coaches for softball and baseball, the approval of a small games of chance resolution for school affiliated booster clubs and organizations, and putting the district’s special education plan out for public review. If approved, the plan would remain in effect until June of 2023. At this point, the plan is just in the advertisement phase. The board is expected to give final approval of the plan in January of 2022.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:00 PM at the district board room. The meeting will also be streamed on the district’s YouTube page.
