After being off the board for 10 months, former Penns Manor board president Robert Packer was sworn in as a school board member, and was re-elected by his fellow board members as the board president during Thursday night’s reorganization meeting.
After he was reappointed, Packer was appreciative of the board members, and he said that the time off gave him time to reflect.
In business from the voting meeting that followed, the board approved a quote from C.M. Eichenlaub Co. to complete an inspection of the bleachers in the high school and elementary gyms, and the elementary multi-purpose room at a cost not to exceed $2,040. The board also approved a motion to post and advertise for a new junior high head football coach.
