On Monday, the Indiana School Board held its reorganization meeting and regular voting meeting for December, and the board’s leadership stayed the same.
Walter Schroth remained the board president, while Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro was named as Vice President. When asked what he was looking forward to during his next year as board president, Schroth said he hoped for “peace and quiet.”
During the regular meeting, the board approved one-time funding for boys and girls lacrosse at $10,000 each, another $10,000 for hockey and $2500 for rugby. Continued additional funding for these sports will be considered in the 2022-2023 budget process. The board also approved an agreement with IUP to hold commencement for the 2021-2022 school year at the KCAC in an effort to keep everyone socially distant for Covid-19 concerns.
