Two school boards are scheduled to meet tonight for their reorganization and regularly scheduled meetings.
One meeting will be the formal reorganization of the Indiana School board, which will start at 5:30 tonight. Along with the installation of Sue Reig and James Shaffer as new members of the board, the administration will also administer the oath of office to re-elected members Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro and Tom Harley. The board will also elect its slate of officers during the 5:30 PM meeting.
The board will deal with its normal business in its 7:00 meeting after an executive session is held. On the agenda is an agreement for the district to use the KCAC for high school commencement this year, the approval of four long-term substitute teachers, and budget transfers in connection with the 2020-2021 year-end audit.
Both meetings will be held at the district board room at the East Pike complex and will also be streamed online.
The Purchase Line School Board will also meet tonight for two meetings. The first will be the reorganization meeting, which will be immediately followed by its Committee of the Whole work session, which will look at the hiring of baseball and softball coaches, and discussion on putting a limit on how much the district will increase taxes if such an increase is necessary.
The reorganization meeting starts at 7:00 PM at the district board room.
