A holiday tradition continues today in Indiana County with the annual Trees for Troops program at Mytrysak Family Tree Farm.
The Mytrysak family is continuing a tradition started by their predecessor, the Fleming family. The event will allow people to purchase a 6 foot tree for $40 that will be sent to a military base to spread some Christmas cheer.
Stacy Mytrysak of Mytrysak family tree farm said that they have heard from one of the past recipients of a tree.
The event runs today from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and some of the other activities on the day include a concession stand, tractor wagon rides, a visit from Santa, photo opportunities and live entertainment through the day.
