Quad-A 12th-seed Indiana will visit Thomas Jefferson on Friday night. Indiana is 4-5 and coming off a 42-22 loss to Armstrong last Friday. Thomas Jefferson is 6-2 and whacked West Mifflin, 49-0. They finished third in the Big Eight Conference.
In District 6, Heritage Conference champion Cambria Heights drew the number one seed and will welcome 8th-seed Forest Hills on Friday. The winner of that game will play the winner of the game between 5th seeded River Valley and 4th seeded Bald Eagle Area. That game will be at Bald Eagle, also on Friday. The other Double-A matchups are #6 Southern Huntingdon at #3 Richland, and #7 Penns Valley at #2 Bellwood-Antis.
In Class A, because of opt-outs, the field is reduced to ten teams. The top six, Juniata Valley, Homer Center, Bishop Guilfoyle, Portage, West Shamokin, and Purchase Line, all get a bye this week and will be idle.
10th-seeded Penns Manor will travel to #7 Glendale on Friday night, and number-8 seed Conemaugh Valley will host #9 Claysburg-Kimmel on Saturday.
Homer Center will play the winner of the Penns Manor/Glendale game next week. Purchase Line will play Bishop Guilfoyle next week. West Shamokin will travel to Portage next week. Juniata Valley will host the winner of Conemaugh Valley/Claysburg Kimmel.
