A Blairsville man is set to appear in district court for his preliminary hearing connected with an incident on September 2nd in Burrell Township.
State police have charged 43-year-old Matthew Lee Carl Wayne Tiger with causing a disturbance along Maple Avenue Extension. Troopers were dispatched at 8:21 AM that day, but found out that Tiger fled on foot before police arrived there. Police said that they received a report that Tiger was walking out into traffic and impeding oncoming vehicles at the intersection of Sharps Hill Road and Old William Penn Highway. When Tiger was located and taken into custody by Blairsville police, he resisted arrest.
He faces charges of making terroristic threats, which is a felony, along with a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest and summary counts of disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. He has been in Indiana County Jail on $50,000 bail.
