First responders stayed busy yesterday as multiple structure fires were reported around Indiana County.
Plumville fire crews, along with Citizens Ambulance, were dispatched around 10 a.m. for the first fire that was reported at Wheel-In Campground in Shelocta. No information on injuries or the cause of the fire has been reported yet.
The second structure fire was reported to Indiana County 911 around 4:20 Wednesday afternoon, and it was located along Tipperary Road in Northern Cambria. Fire crews from Pine Township, Clymer, Nicktown, Spangler and Hope, as well as Citizens Ambulance, responded. The third structure fire happened shortly after 7:30 p.m., and fire crews from Rossiter, Perry, Punxsutawney and Lindsey Respond.
The final structure fire was reported around 2 o’clock this morning along Water St. in Indiana Borough. Indiana Fire Association along with the RIT team and Citizens Ambulance were dispatched to that fire. Officials say that it was a false alarm, as a resident thought they had smelled smoke, but no fire was detected.
Among other calls to Indiana County 911 on Wednesday were two vehicle accidents: one in Center Township around 4:30 p.m., and the other in White Township shortly after 8 p.m.
Crash reports have not been released yet for either crash.
