The body of a missing Armstrong County man has been found in the Allegheny River in Armstrong County.
20-year-old Colt Evan Snyder, who pleaded guilty in a stabbing and was sentenced to probation in Indiana County Court in April had last been seen by his family on April 30th. His vehicle was found at about 11:22 PM that night, abandoned with the engine running on the Emlenton Bridge on Interstate 80 in Richland Township, Clarion County.

State Police and emergency crews have been searching for Snyder ever since, but poor weather hindered their efforts. This weekend they mounted a new search and the body was located late Saturday night near Holly Road in Washington Township, Armstrong Township. Coroner Brian Myers said there were no signs of foul play.
In January, Snyder pleaded guilty to simple assault and recklessly endangering another person for the stabbing, which occurred during a fight last August in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue in Indiana. The victim, a 23-year-old man, survived. Snyder was sentenced to concurrent terms of one and two years of probation, with a directive to attend mental health and anger management evaluations.
