An Indiana native and a Guinness World Record holder looks to break another fitness-related record this weekend.
Endurance athlete George Hood, a former resident of Indiana who currently lives in Aurora, Illinois, will attempt another fitness-endurance record on Saturday at the Boca Raton Evolution Fitness location. He will try to break the record for most push-ups in an hour, which currently stands at 2,919. In recent years, Hood has been featured for planking feats, which included a 2020 record-setting attempt for the longest plank at eight hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds. That record lead to an appearance on ABC’s To Tell The Truth.
He has held one of his record-setting events in Indiana, where he set the record for the longest weighted plank at two hours 35 minutes, 35 seconds as part of the kickoff to the United Way’s 2015 annual fundraising campaign.
Saturday’s World Record attempt will benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.
