With Spring Training about to start, various sports sites have been churning out evaluations of farm systems and major league teams.
Keith Law of The Athletic yesterday posted his minor league system rankings, putting the Pirates at number 16, but rising. Baseball America ranks the Pirates farm system number 13, with four prospects in the Top 100.
The two sites agree that the Tampa Bay has the best minor league system.
Pirates pitchers and catchers report to Bradenton next Wednesday.
