As Governor Tom Wolf’s temporary restrictions concerning restaurants, entertainment venues, gyms and other facilities are lifted today, a kids entertainment venue at the Indiana Mall has announced that they have closed.
Go Bonkerz owner John Fordyce, who created the original business, the glow-in-the-dark mini-golf and laser tag arena inside Indiana Mall and a party rental business, announced over the weekend that the Coronavirus pandemic has hurt his business hard, and even though they have tried to branch out with their own café, delivery services, and other items to keep things afloat, it is no longer financially feasible for him to keep the facility open. He said that normally, he has more than 20 birthday party bookings for the first few months of the year, but this year, there are no bookings as of yet.
In his statement, Fordyce said he was in talks with people who might continue the business, and is open to others willing to take on the business. He did say that he wants to keep the equipment and facility in order through the next few months before he considers auctioning off the items.
