First responders were busy with several accident calls yesterday along with the fatal crash reported on Route 56.
Indiana County 911 reported that the first was at 2:08 PM as Cherryhill Township fire crews were called out to Route 422 East in Cherryhill Township, along with Citizens Ambulance and State Police. All three entities would be called out again 19 minutes later for a crash on Route 403 North.
At 4:12 PM, Black Lick and Blairsville fire fighters were called to Route 22 east in Burrell Township for a reported vehicle crash. State police were also called to that scene. And Commodore Fire Department and State Police were called to Hill Road in Green Township at 6:35 PM for an accident there.
State police have not yet released reports on any of these incidents.
There was also one fire call reported yesterday. Indiana Fire Association members were called out at 3:46 PM for a reported structure fire on Elkin Avenue in White Township, along with the RIT Team and Citizens Ambulance. That call turned out to be at a communications building on Water Tower Hill, and it was nothing more than a lot of smoke due to a burned-up air conditioner motor. No injuries were reported.
And Commodore firefighters were called out at 5:05 PM for a report of utility lines down along Route 580 in Green Township.
