The average cost of a gallon of gas continues to drop in Pennsylvania and on the local level as well.
The average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania, according to Triple-A, is now $2.48 a gallon, down two cents from last week. It’s up five cents from last month but down 33 cents from last year at this time. Indiana County’s average is now $2.53 a gallon, which is down a penny from last week. Among the neighboring counties, the lowest average is in Jefferson County with $2.46 a gallon. Next is Westmoreland with $2.47 a gallon. Armstrong has an average of $2.55 a gallon, and Cambria and Clearfield Counties each have a $2.57 a gallon average.
Gas prices in Indiana Borough and White Township are at $2.55 a gallon. In Homer City, gas prices are significantly lower at $2.49 a gallon. That price is also the cost of gas in Burrell Township and Blairsville Borough. Clymer’s gas price is now $2.52 a gallon.
