IUP has reported another 34 new cases of Covid-19 between September 11th and the 14th.
In a message sent to the IUP Community, eight of the newly-identified students live in on-campus housing, 22 live in off-campus housing and four reside outside the county. Nine of the 34 students are currently using the self-isolation beds on-campus. The remaining students are self-isolating away from campus.
This brings the total number of reported Covid-19 cases among students to 87. IUP is also reporting that 36 students are classified as “recovered”, having completed self-isolation for ten days plus one without a fever since the onset of symptoms.
IUP also says that positive cases reported by the PA Department of Health may be reported to them at any time during a person’s recovery, so in some cases, when a new case is reported, they are also reported as recovered.
