INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Police in Indiana Borough are investigating a case of theft by deception that happened earlier this week, and they are asking everyone to be vigilant of a potential phone scam. Police say on September 2nd, an Indiana Borough Resident received a phone call that said they were facing criminal charges from a government agency if they did not pay a large sum of money. No other details on the call were made available, and the investigation remains open at this time. Police say that you should be protective when providing personal and bank account information to an unverified source.
Indiana Borough Police have charged a Lancaster man for violating the borough’s noise ordinance. This happened on August 30th at 12:54 in the morning when loud music could be heard over 50 feet away from a home in the 200 block of South 7th Street. Police say that the music came from the home of 22-year-old Nicholas Afor.
