Covid-19 numbers on IUP Campus remain the same for now, but an update is expected by noon today.
Earlier today the IUP Covid-19 dashboard had said that there were no students in isolation, but the dashboard has reverted to previous statistics for the period of August 17th to the 26th. The student previously reported as testing positive for Covid-19 remains in isolation at this time, and the university reports they still have 169 beds available for isolating Covid-19 infected students at Delaney Hall. The number of Covid-19 Cases on IUP’s campus remains at 1.
If a student tests positive for Covid-19, they are put in a 10-day isolation period. Students will also self-quarantine if they have been identified as a close contact with a possible positive Covid-19 case to monitor for symptoms.
Meanwhile, the number of cases of Coronavirus in Indiana County is now at 426, including 396 confirmed cases and 30 probable cases. Indiana County has also reported 10 deaths due to Covid-19, according to the PA Department of Health.
