In its latest update, the Department of Health says the amount of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indiana County increased slightly by nine. This brings the county total to 387 total confirmed cases as of August 26th.
In addition to the 387 confirmed, 25 cases are listed as probable, with more than 7,300 reporting negative and 10 deaths.
On a city-by-city breakdown within the county, Indiana has the highest number of confirmed cases with 173. Blairsville follows up with 52 and Homer City comes in at 3rd with 36.
Saltsburg and Creekside are still under the 20-case threshold, while more than five surrounding towns including Cherry Tree, Rossiter and Brush Valley report anywhere from 1-4 positive cases.
Across the state, Philadelphia has more than 28,000 positive cases, leading the state, and Montgomery County has more than 10,000 positive cases.
