A yearly tradition will not be coming to Indiana this year, as it was announced today that the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Christmas parade is cancelled.
The cancellation, among many other changes to the It’s A Wonderful Life festival, was announced shortly after 11:30 this morning by members of the Indiana County Tourist Bureau, Downtown Indiana and the Lucy Donnelly Foundation. The decision to cancel the parade is due to restrictions placed on crowd gatherings that limit them to 250 people. Since the parade draws crowds that surpass that threshold, the event is not able to go on.
Along with the parade, the Christmas Tree Light-Up Festival is also cancelled.
