Today’s Indiana County Court schedule is quite busy, but some of the listed events have already been moved, including the start of three jury trials.
One of those is the trial of Justin Libengood. Although his trial is listed as starting today, it is also listed to start tomorrow. That’s also the case with the trial of Andrew Rankin. Meanwhile, a trial for Verity Auden-Stevens, originally listed for next month, now appears on today’s case list, but also on the list for Thursday.
The 31-year-old Libengood, who’s from Latrobe, is charged with aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, attempted robbery, and discharging a weapon into an occupied structure. He’s accused of pulling a gun and trying to rob David McGinnis of Bolivar during a drug deal on July 1st last year at the Days Inn in Burrell Township. The two struggled over the gun and a shot was fired, grazing McGinnis in the neck.
Rankin is 32 years old and from Creekside. He’s to be tried in a drug case.
Auden-Stevens is 37 and from Pittsburgh. She’s charged with open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
Judge Mike Clark will conduct a non-jury trial for Brian Mitchel Baker of Saltsburg, and a motions hearing for John Manna III of Johnstown, a convicted sex offender who is seeking modification of his condition for supervision.
Judge Thomas Bianco will hold motions hearings for drug defendant Tyson Anderson of Ford City, and for DUI defendants Richard Alan Woods of Homer City; Karen Ann McDeavitt of Rossiter; and Robert Allen Ayers, of Indiana
President Judge William Martin will hold Plea Court for four separate cases involving Debra Lee Helman of Indiana. In all, she’s charged with four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of public drunkenness, and single counts of possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
Judge Martin will hold six Plea Court proceedings for Clifford Camut Jr. of New Florence. Possession with intent to deliver, three counts of disorderly conduct, two counts each of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an instrument of crime, and criminal mischief, plus single counts of felony attempted burglary, and misdemeanor theft, attempted theft, retail theft, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and loitering and prowling at night.
Brittany Arcurio of Indiana will also appear in plea Court for retail theft.
