The PA Department of Health says that the statewide total of COVID-19 cases totals over 129,000, following an update released yesterday.
In its report, PA confirmed 619 confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the exact total to 129,048 positive cases, with the majority of new cases coming from Allegheny and Philadelphia County. To date, there have been more than 1.4 million negative tests reported to the department.
Indiana County reported 378 confirmed cases as of yesterday, with 21 reporting probable and 7,153 reporting negative.
Across the state, Philadelphia and Montgomery lead all counties in confirmed cases, Philadelphia with more than 28,000 and Montgomery with more than 10,000. In neighboring counties, Westmoreland County has 1,679 confirmed cases, Cambria comes in with 390, Armstrong with 281, Clearfield has 165 and Jefferson County remains less than 100 cases, as it has 68 confirmed cases.
