The IUP school year traditionally opens with speeches from school administrators and university president Dr. Michael Driscoll the Friday before the first day of class. That tradition will continue today, but it will be done in a virtual format.
Traditionally, the program is open to the university community and takes place at Fisher Auditorium. But this year, the coronavirus has hampered indoor gatherings, so that presentation will be streamed online this morning. It will include a speech from Driscoll on the status of the university going into this unprecedented time.
The program will get underway at 9:00. To view the ceremonies, click on the link below.
