The United Way has announced that their kickoff event for the 2020 campaign will now be a virtual event.
The campaign event this year will pay tribute to the community’s first responders and front line workers. Traditionally, the event is a large party with several basket raffles and silent auctions being held. Over concerns for Coronavirus, the event will now be in a virtual format on September 17th.
Leading up to the kickoff event will be a virtual basket raffle. People will be able to view the baskets and purchase raffle tickets through a “Bid Pal” website which will go live on September 1st. Winners of the basket raffle will be announced during the virtual kickoff event.
The event will be streamed on the United Way of Indiana County’s website, uwindianacounty.org or on their Facebook page. The public is welcome to attend.
