Two school boards will hold special voting meetings tonight, and return-to-school plans are on the agenda for both districts.
Both the Indiana and Blairsville-Saltsburg school boards will meet tonight for special voting meetings. Only two motions are on the agenda for the Indiana School Board meeting as they will vote on the district’s 2020-21 reopening plan. Approval is also being sought for the hiring of a school psychologist graduate assistant through IUP.
For the Blairsville-Saltsburg school board, the board will discuss the return to school education plan for this school year and will later vote on whether or not to approve the plan. The board also has on its agenda a revision to the district calendar to have school start on September 8th. The board will also approve the official resignation date of Jeffrey Soles, which will be effective tomorrow, and the board will also look to approve hiring Jonathan Cunkleman as the district’s cross-country coach.
Both meetings are set for 7:00 and both meetings will be held virtually. Directions on how to view the meetings will be posted on each district’s website.
