The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board approved a hybrid approach for all grade levels for the upcoming school year at last night’s meeting.
Students with last names A-L will go to school on Monday and Tuesday, while the remainder of the students will go Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday, the district will have online learning in place.
Acting Interim Superintendent Phillip Martel said that on Wednesday there will be a thorough cleaning of the district’s facilities among other activities.
The board also approved the changes in the district calendar. Normally, students are dismissed early on Friday and teachers would use the rest of the day for professional development. As the teachers will get that professional development on Wednesday, Fridays are, for now, a full day of instruction.
