The VFW Golf Course closed for the season earlier this year. Now the property is up for sale.
At Wednesday’s White Township Supervisors meeting, the Supervisors approved making an offer for the VFW Golf Course property, which is next door to their township’s offices. Assistant Township Manager Chris Anderson talked about what interested the township in the property.
It’s not known at this time if the golf course would be kept, but Anderson said it was an option that was available. Specific details of the deal are not available at this time.
Greg Marsh with the Indiana County VFW confirmed the property is up for sale. He said that while there were many different factors that caused the post to sell the property, the recent Covid-19 Pandemic reinforced the need to move in that direction. He also said that the golf course has been maintained the best they can without any revenue coming in. He also confirmed multiple parties were interested in the property, and options on moving the post headquarters will depend on the offers they receive.
