One person was hurt in a collision between an SUV and a pedestrian on July 31st in White Township. State police say that the incident happened on Croyhill Drive as the driver of the SUV left the vehicle to deliver newspapers. The vehicle then rolled on its own and hit 63-year-old David Deem as he stepped out in front of the vehicle. The vehicle drug him for about 70 feet then turned left, and went another 49 feet before hitting a rock and then a tree. Deem had suspected minor injuries and was taken to Forbes hospital for treatment.
Police are looking for a man who nearly ran over two children in Black Lick Township on Monday. State troopers say that the suspect, described as a white man with a heavy build and a goatee, was seen driving a dark, older model pickup truck on Thompson Road when he nearly hit two children who were walking along Thompson Road. After nearly hitting them, the man stopped to confront one of the children. The investigation is on-going.
