The Center Township Supervisors discussed road projects and the township parks during their meeting Monday night.
Road crews will start work on Tuesday with milling and paving projects on First Street, parts of Neal Road and Graceton Way with Derry Construction. Supervisors chairman Dave “Butch” Smyers said that next week, they will be working on a project on Bethel Church Road. The road will be closed at both ends for the duration of the project, but anyone living on that road will be allowed to get in and out.
As far as township parks go, Smyers encouraged the young people in the community to use the township parks, but not to “disrespect” the parks. This means no fireworks, no littering, no loud music and other behaviors that would damage the parks.
