At a preliminary hearing on Friday, the suspect in the shooting death of a Derry Township woman two weeks ago, was ordered to stand trial for homicide, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment, and prohibited possession of a firearm.
Police say 20-year-old Nathan Quidetto of Unity Township, Westmoreland County fired into the Pandora Road home occupied by the family of 52-year-old Tracy Marie Squib, who was sleeping on the night of July 20th. Squib was shot in the chest and later died at Excela Latrobe Hospital.
Investigators say Quidetto admitted he fired shots into the home in retaliation for a drug deal that had gone wrong, but said he made a mistake and shot into the wrong house.
