A Shelocta man who was wanted for drug-related crimes was apprehended over the weekend in White Township.
State Police say that 29-year-old Frederick James Moran of Shelocta was picked up by police Saturday after a call about a man in an apartment complex parking lot on Roush Drive who looked to be intoxicated and was screaming and acting erratically. When police got there, they found Moran in the parking lot and he was under the influence of a controlled substance to the point that he was a danger to himself. Because of his intoxication level, Moran was taken to IRMC. While troopers were on the scene, they found three bags of suspected crystal meth.
Moran was wanted by police for an incident on February 3rd of this year as he was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. An additional charge of possession with intent to deliver was added on for last Saturday’s incident. He is now in Indiana County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
