CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP
A woman from Kent and a man from Indiana are facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop on route 422 in Cherryhill Township last Monday afternoon. State police say a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Kaisey Moslak was pulled over for a traffic violation and Moslak was suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded an electronic vaping device containing suspected THC. Charges are pending against Moslak and her passenger, John Crusan.
EAST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
No charges have been filed yet but police say they tracked down the suspect who allegedly stole a gun from the home of an 80-year-old man who lives along Mack Road in East Wheatfield Township. The victim reported the theft of the six-shot revolver last Thursday morning. The gun is valued at $520.
EAST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
State police are searching for the man who stashed a large amount of trash in a dumpster at the Little Water Trough Car Wash in Armagh on July 14th. Police say the suspect tossed 19 bags of garbage, two garbage cans, and a large picture frame into the dumpster. They’re looking for a white male, about 6-feet tall, with brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and cowboy boots and was driving a U-Haul truck. Anyone with info is asked to call police at 357-1960.
BLAIRSVILLE
A 52-year-old Blairsville man told state police last week that he’d been victimized by scam on Facebook Marketplace. The victim turned up at the state police barracks last Wednesday to report that he’d been bilked out of $113.85.
WALMART THEFTS
A man and woman filled up their shopping cart with groceries on July 14th at the White Township Walmart store, but left without paying for them. State police say the couple scanned their items at the self-checkout but then did not pay for them. They fled in a blue Ford F-150 XLT pickup truck equipped with a rear door on the passenger side, getting away with $195.25.
Police have video surveillance images of the theft.
BURRELL TOWNSHIP
State police have not publicly identified the two Homer City women they say tried to steal more than $273 worth of items from the Burrell Township Walmart store on Friday night. The suspects, ages 39 and 19, were observed stuffing the items into two backpacks and attempted to leave, but they were stopped.
