Emergency crews had a busy day in Indiana County on Friday.
Four fire companies were called out for a reported structure fire on Cherry Street in Cherry Tree Borough. Indiana County reported the call went out at 9:58 PM, with Cherry Tree, Commodore and Hope fire departments along with the county’s RIG and Hazmat teams and Citizens Ambulance responding initially. Hastings fire department would be called in at 10:19 to assist on scene and the Clymer fire department was called in to standby for the Commodore fire department at 10:44.
Other calls throughout the day included:
- Indiana Fire Association Company 3 was called out for electric utility issues at 12:21 PM on Friday.
- Saltsburg fire department dispatched to Fairbanks Road in Westmoreland County to assist with a tree down on the roadway at 4:51 PM
- Indiana Fire Association was called out at 11:12 last night to assist with a medical unit for a call on Bonnie Drive
- Indiana Firefighters were also called out for a smoke investigation at a location on Courtland Road in White Township at 3:44 this morning.
