One person was hurt after a crash on Wednesday in East Wheatfield Township. State police say that 61-year-old Sulayman Darboe of Knoxville, Tennessee was driving a van east on Route 22 near Route 403 when the van lost traction on a slippery surface. The van hit a concrete barrier and then went off the right shoulder, eventually coming to rest on the right shoulder. Darboe was not injured, but his passenger, 30-year-old Stephanie Griebel of Boston, suffered suspected minor injuries.
State Police are looking for someone who stole some livestock and other items from a home in East Mahoning Township. Police say on July 10th, an unknown person went to the East Creek Road home of an un-named 47-year-old Rossiter man and took $30 worth of baby chickens and $20 worth of baby ducks and a fishing pole. The suspect also damaged a power washer worth $100.
State police are looking for a suspect in a case of theft from someone’s headstone. Police say that on July 19th, someone took the flowers that had been on a headstone of the father of a 37-year-old Alverda woman whose name was not released.
An Indiana man is charged with resisting arrest after an incident on Airport Road on July 13th. State police say that the suspect, identified only at a 56-year-old Indiana man, was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct following a domestic disturbance.
