The company conducting the auction of the Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort & Conference Center says they have already received online bids and they expect the 345-acre property will be sold tomorrow.
Hostetter Auctioneers will oversee the sale at noon tomorrow, accepting online and in-person bids for the property, which includes two 18-hole golf courses, a 48,000-square foot combined clubhouse/restaurant/banquet facility, a spa, and land still open to development.
The resort has been owned since 2008 by Thomas J. Usher of Oakmont, Allegheny County, and his brother, Jim. They bought into the property in 2004 with partners Huey Bartolini of Saltsburg and Matthew DeRose of York.
Chestnut Ridge employs about one hundred people. The former farmland property was purchased for development as a golf course in 1963.
