There are motions hearings scheduled today for Dylan Dalessio and his father, Douglas, who are both from Plumville and are both charged in connection with Dylan’s arrest for three arson fires in northern Indiana County.
20-year-old Dylan is charged with arson and related offenses in three separate filings and with intimidation of a witness or victim, conspiracy to the same offense, and criminal use of a communication facility in a fourth case. 52-year-old Douglas Dalessio is charged with the same three crimes in the intimidation of a witness case.
The two were charged in February after an investigation of routine monitoring of phone conversations made between them last October, when Dylan was in the Indiana County Jail for the arson charges.
Dylan Dalessio and co-defendant Nicholas Leone, both former firefighters are each charged with setting three fires, one at a barn along Route 954 in Creekside in December of 2018, one later that month at a storage building at Whitaker and Rudolph Roads in West Mahoning Township, and one at an Amish furniture store along Stephenson Road in West Mahoning Township in January of 2019.
Judge William Martin will conduct the hearings on motions to join the cases this morning at 10:30. Dylan’s trials are currently scheduled for August 3rd. No trial date is listed for Douglas.
