Homer City Borough has announced its summer paving program will begin bright and early on Monday morning.
Starting at 6 AM, weather permitting, paving crews will begin work on East Elm Street from Church to Wiley; Wiley to Greeley; and Greeley to Oak Alley. Also on the paving schedule is Oak Alley from East Elm to Church Street and Rose Avenue from Kunkle to Church Street.
Should rain delay the work, the schedule will move to the next clear day.
The borough is requesting that all residents in the affected areas move their vehicles off the street and right-of-way. The streets will be closed to all traffic during the paving process, and vehicles should be moved before the paving operations begin. They will be towed at the owner’s expense if they have not been moved.
