Pennsylvania yesterday added four more states to the 15 already named on its travel quarantine recommendation list. The state is asking people who have traveled to Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma to self-quarantine for 14 days when they return to Pennsylvania. Those four states join Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah on the self-quarantine list.
With the state Health Department reporting Indiana County’s coronavirus cases jumping by 20 cases between Friday and Saturday, the county’s total stands now at 141, although nine of those are reported as “probable”, not confirmed. The number of deaths attributed to Covid-19 is still six and there have been 3,831 negative tests.
Four of the county’s deaths have been at long-term care facilities. The state reports that seven long-term care facilities in Indiana County have had cases, with 19 of them among residents and six among employees.
Due to coronavirus concerns, the Indiana County Farm Bureau has canceled its annual picnic, which was scheduled for this coming Friday, July 17th, at Yellow Creek State Park.
