The number of Coronavirus cases in Indiana County took a drastic jump between Friday and Saturday.
The PA Department of Health reports that 22 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Indiana County over the last 24 hours, bringing the case total to 141 cases. 132 of those cases are confirmed, while the others remain probable. Indiana County has also reported 3,831 negative tests for Coronavirus.
Across the state, 813 new cases of Coronavirus were reported, bringing the statewide total to 94,689. The department also reported that the number of tests administered between July 4 and July 10 was 132,648, and that produced 5,135 positive test results.
Governor Wolf on Friday reiterated the need for people to wear masks, and was joined by Economic Secretary Dennis Davin and Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. Governor Wolf said that “Mask-wearing is much more than a requirement; it is a sign of support and respect for our local businesses,” and added that the public can help keep the doors open by wearing masks to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
