Several preliminary hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s District Courts, including one for a man charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in Indiana Borough.
The preliminary hearing for Thomas Edward Lindsay III of Indiana on two counts each of aggravated assault and aggravated assault with extreme indifference, three counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, four counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of carrying firearms without a license in connection with the shooting on June 23rd. Police say that at 4:10 PM that day, Lindsey allegedly rode in a vehicle and fired three shots at a home on 3rd Street near the intersection with Philadelphia Street. The car sped off after the shots were fired. No gunshot-related injuries were reported.
Lindsay was also charged with two counts each of robbery with the threat of serious injury and terroristic threats, and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property for an incident before the shooting. That happened in the 400 block of Center Street in the Chevy Chase area of White Township. He was charged along with Spencer Hayes and Frank James Williams IV, both of Philadelphia, in connection with the home-invasion robbery. Hayes already had his preliminary hearing on that case, while Williams and Lindsay will have their hearings on Thursday, July 9th.
