ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP
State police say an Indiana man suffered minor injuries June 26th in a two-vehicle collision on Route 422 near Lions Health Camp Road in Armstrong Township. Police say 69-year-old David Scott was driving eastbound when he came to a sudden stop in the middle of the road and was struck by the vehicle of 72-year-old John Bash of Indiana. Scott’s pickup rolled over one rotation. He was treated by Citizens Ambulance personnel but did not require hospitalization. Bash was not hurt.
GREEN TOWNSHIP
Two people suffered minor injuries June 29th in a two-vehicle crash on Tipperary Road in Green Township.
State police say 31-year-old Rebecca Palmer of Indiana pulled from a stop sign onto Elm Street, colliding with a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Randy Laney of Commodore. Laney’s vehicle rolled onto its roof after the collision. He and his passenger, 78-year-old Betty Laney, were injured but did not require hospitalization.
Commodore firefighters were summoned for two crashes yesterday, both in the 8 AM hour. The first accident, at 8:21 AM, happened when a vehicle left Route 580 in Green Township and struck a tree. A landing zone was subsequently set up for a medical helicopter. The second crash, just shy of a half-hour later, also involved a landing zone setup, along Route 580 near Wandin Road.
